Such an amazing post and blog! It totally coincides with my memories with Hoshinoya Fuji. :)

Were you able to manage to get a kotatsu at home? Since being there, I really really want one on the balcony. Just the exact one as there. Lol

Greetings from Germany!*

hi eds,
we had the dinner and took the room service breakfast. the breakfast was AMAZING because you’re eating on your private deck with a view of fuji. the dinner was solid, but probably not something that we’d choose again ;) you can always eat off the resort too if you want to head into tow.
hope that helps!

I’m wondering if you took their package which included breakfast and dinner? I have read mixed reviews on the meals so I wonder if I should take the package or just pay on-site after checking out the menu. Will only be staying for one or two nights though…

hi lai,
i think 6 nights might be a bit much, but you can always go hiking and explore the area and stuff! if you’re looking for a relaxing say, then it will definitely be awesome for recharging. the only thing is that you will probably want to leave the hoshinoya resort area to eat if you’re going to be there for 6 days, so you should factor in travel costs for getting to and from the resort to restaurants in the nearby town of kawaguchiko :)
hope that helps!

Hi Stephanie! Thanks for the recommendation on how long to stay. They have an amazing deal for 6 nights where it costs the same as 3 – do you think 6 nights is too long? Lai

hi patrick!
we stay for 3 nights, which i think was perfect. 2 would be a little short considering the time it takes to get out there!

I just want to let you know that your pics/blog are amazing! Great job putting it all together.

How many nights did you stay in Hoshinoya? How many nights would you recommend?

Pat

hi casey!
we ended up taking a taxi from the station to the hotel. it’s not so bad because they take you to the base of the hotel, which isn’t up the mountain, where all the rooms are, so it’s a bit closer! it was about 4000 yen or so, i think! hope that helps and have a great trip to japan! i’m so jealous!
