I think you’re spot on with this. I just made this for the first time and the toasted sesame is dominating, which is odd because I screwed up and used 1 TBSP of fish sauce by mistake, haha

thought this was going to be overrated, but tried it and it is the perfect flavor- i didnt have sesame oil, but this is one of those recipees where you can kind of mix-and-match as long as you get the idea. I put in a few other sauces as well. thank you!

bought a cucumber as I was influenced! 😅 didn’t have msg, and I only did a couple of drops of sesame oil as I’m not a fan… also added a splash of rice vinegar! thank you for the post!!

Great! For five stars decrease sesame oil to 1 tsp, add 1/2 tbsp rice vinegar for acidity and finally add some fresh diced chili!

it doesn’t, but salting cucumbers will draw out the moisture. if you do that, you have to be sure to drain and squeeze out any excess water in the cucumbers. also, when you’re cutting the cucumbers for salting, make them a little chunkier so they have more structural integrity. hope that helps!
