We have eaten a variety of versions of sushi – like sushi burritos or something like onigiri. This is so creative and sounds delicious! My daughter would love it if I made her some sushi “lasagna” like this!

hi jessi,
for the salmon sub, mix the salmon and miso with the original amount of cream cheese and mayo!

Just to clarify, so substitute salmon for crab, mix with cream cheese and mayo AND the miso? Or is the miso salmon variation a separate thing? Thanks!

Oh, using panko is a great idea, it will add a little crispy, crunchy texture! trying that next time!

My daughter loves sushi, onigiri, wrapping sushi ingredients in rice paper, etc., so this is another great twist on sushi that she can make!

My family and I really enjoyed this recipe! I replaced the cream cheese for labneh and the Kewpie mayo for Hellmans mayo as that was what I had on hand.
The substitutions did not affect the flavour and this dish was delicious! A great casserole type dish to keep in my recipe book for the future. Thank you for posting the recipe!

tofu would work! you can use firm cut into cubes or if you like, you can blend up soft/medium tofu with the cream cheese.
